St. Joe / Benton Harbor, MI

    St. Joseph and Benton Harbor are on the W and E sides of the St. Joseph River respectively. St. Joseph North Pierhead Light rises 31 feet above the water atop a white cylindrical tower on the outer end of the N pier. The entrance channel leads between parallel piers through the mouth of the river and upstream for about 1 mile to the junction with Paw Paw River. Caution: Navigation should not be attempted close to the piers because of stone riprap.
