Diversey Harbor, Chicago, IL

Diversey Harbor is a small craft basin, protected by breakwaters, about 3 miles N of the Chicago River entrance. The approach to the harbor is marked by a private light. Caution: A fixed highway bridge with a clearance of approximately 14 feet crosses the entrance channel. Note: The entrance and exit to the harbor is metered by a traffic light that operates from a motion sensor. Do not enter the channel if the light is red, as the channel under the bridge is narrow, and maneuvering room is limited.
